'Sapore Di Sale(사뽀레 디 살레)'는 1963년에 발매된 이딸리아 싱어송라이터 지노 빠올리(Gino Paoli, 1934~)의 싱글이다. 이 곡은 1964년에 출시된 빠올리의 세 번째 스튜디오 앨범 'Basta Chiudere Gli Occhi(바스따 치우데레 글리 오키)' B면 1번 트랙에도 수록되었다. 깐따지로(Cantagiro) 가요제에도 참가했던 이 노래는 빠올리의 최대 히트곡이라고 할 수 있다. 곡명(曲名) 'Sapore Di Sale'는 '소금 맛(Taste of salt)'이라는 뜻이다.

빠올리는 공연을 위해 그의 밴드와 함께 시칠리아 섬 까뽀 도를란도(Capo d'Orlando)로 날아갔다. 일행 중에는 젊은 여배우 스떼파니아 산드렐리(Stefania Sandrelli)도 있었다. 빠올리는 당시 안나 파브리(Anna Fabbri)와 결혼한 상태였지만, 아름다운 산드렐리를 만나 정열적인 사랑에 빠졌다. 빠올리는 연인과 함께 시칠리아에서 꿈 같은 시간을 보냈다. 산드렐리에게서 영감을 받은 빠올리는 인적이 없는 해변 근처의 버려진 집에서 'Sapore Di Sale'를 작곡했다. 그는 해변에 누운 채 자신의 과거와 현재를 머릿속에 그리며 떠오른 생각들을 오선지에 담았다. 스떼파니아는 얼마 뒤 딸 아만다 산드렐리(Amanda Sandrelli)를 출산했고, 아만다도 엄마를 따라 배우가 되었다.

위대한 영화 음악의 거장 엔니오 모리꼬네(Ennio Morricone)의 편곡에 빛나는 'Sapore Di Sale'에는 사랑에 빠진 빠올리의 행복감과 황홀경이 달콤하게 나타나 있다. 그런 한편에는 자신의 과거에 대한 약간의 회한도 엿보인다. 1963년 로마에서 이 곡을 녹음할 때 관현악단 지휘를 맡은 사람도 모리꼬네다. 아르헨티나 재즈 테너 색소포니스트 가토 바르비에리(Gato Barbieri)는 색소폰 솔로를 연주한다. 장르는 팝(Pop), 러닝 타임은 3분 30초다.
