'Bonita Applebum'(보니타 애플범)은 1990년 4월 10일 발매된 미국의 힙합 그룹 트라입 콜드 퀘스트(A Tribe Called Quest)의 데뷔 앨범 'People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm'(피플스 인스팅크티브 트래블스 앤드 더 패쓰 오브 리듬)에서 두 번째로 커트되어 나온 싱글이다. 이 노래에는 램프(RAMP)의 'Daylight'(데이라이트), 로터리 커넥션(Rotary Connection)의 'Memory Band'(메모리 밴드), 리틀 피트(Little Feat)의 'Fool Yourself'(풀 유어셀프)에서 샘플해 온 악절이 포함되어 있다.

1985년에 제작된 'Bonita Applebum'의 원래 버전은 트라입 콜드 퀘스트의 첫 번째 데모 중 하나였다. 몇 년 후 이 노래는 리메이크되어 앨범 'People's Instinctive Travels'에 수록되었다. 처음에 큐-팁은 전통적인 랩 전달 방식을 사용했다. 하지만 마일즈 데이비스(Miles Davis)의 'space'(스페이스) 인터뷰를 읽은 후 비트를 변경하고, 대화 전달 방식을 사용하는 기법을 채택하기로 결정했다.

'Bonita Applebum'은 세련된 러브 송이다. 보니타(Bonita)는 래퍼 큐-팁(Q-Tip)이 고등학교 시절 알고 지냈던 실존 소녀였다. 큐-팁의 보컬은 리버스 에코(reverse echo, reverb) 효과로 인해 달콤하고 친밀한 속삭임처럼 들린다. 그 덕에 큐 팁은 1990년대 만여성의 애인으로 등극하게 된다. 독특한 재즈적 사운드에 야릇하고 조용한 분위기를 얹은 이 노래는 힙합의 스탠더드로 인정받고 있다. .
