'Fire'(파이어)는 미국의 싱어송라이터 & 전설적인 기타리스트 지미 헨드릭스(Jimi Hendrix)가 작곡하고, 1967년 초 미-영 롹 밴드 지미 헨드릭스 익스피어리언스(Jimi Hendrix Experience)가 취입한 노래다. 녹음 작업에는 지미 헨드릭스(보컬, 기타)와 노엘 레딩(Noel Redding, 베이스 기타), 미치 미첼(Mitch Mitchell, 드럼) 등 3명이 공식 라인업으로 참여했다.
'Fire'는 미국 출시를 위해 스테레오로 리믹스되었다. 1969년에는 'Let Me Light Your Fire'(렛 미 라이트 유어 파이어)라는 제목으로 영국에서 스테레오 싱글로 발매되었다. 'Fire'는 헨드릭스의 가장 인기 있는 노래 중 하나다. 밴드는 종종 라이브 무대를 이 곡으로 시작하곤 했다.

익스피리언스의 베이시스트 노엘 레딩은 공연이 끝나고 추운 새해 전날 밤 헨드릭스를 잉글랜드 포크스톤(Folkestone)에 있는 어머니 집으로 초대했다. 헨드릭스는 노엘의 어머니에게 벽난로 옆에서 몸을 녹일 수 있는지 물었다. 그녀는 그러라고 했다. 하지만 난로 옆에는 '로버(Rover)'라는 이름의 덩치 큰 반려견 그레이트 데인(Great Dane)이 버티고 있어서 방해가 되었다. 그래서 헨드릭스는 "Aw, move over, Rover, and let Jimi take over(야, 로버, 로버, 좀 비켜봐. 지미에게 자리 좀 내줘)"라고 말했다. 이 구절은 헨드릭스가 곡을 만들 때 그대로 가사가 되었다. 레드 핫 칠리 페퍼스(Red Hot Chili Peppers) 커버 버전에서는 'Move over, Rover/And let Jimi take over'가 'Move over, Rover, and let Mr. Huckleberry take over'로 변경되었다.
