'Born Slippy .NUXX'(본 슬리피 눅스)는 영국의 일렉트로닉 음악 그룹 언더월드(Underworld)가 부른 노래다. 곡목의 'NUXX'는 언더월드가 경견장에서 상금을 꽤 많이 차지했던 한 그레이하운드의 이름을 따서 지은 것이다. 'Nuxx'는 주로 덴마크나 스칸디나비아의 나라들에서 온 변태적이고 수염을 기른 사람을 뜻한다.
'Born Slippy .NUXX'는 1995년 7월 전혀 관련도 없는 연주곡 트랙 'Born Slippy'(본 슬리피)의 B면에 수록되어 발매되었다 . 보컬리스트 칼 하이드(Karl Hyde)의 단편화 된 가사는 알코올 중독자의 관점을 묘사한다. 취중 횡설수설하는 것이라든가 두근거리는 테크노는 1990년대의 시대정신을 담고 있다.
'Born Slippy .NUXX'는 발매 당시 대중들의 무관심 속에 잊혀져 갔다. 1년 뒤인 1996년 이 노래는 대니 보일(Danny Boyle) 감독, 이완 맥그리거(Ewan McGregor) 주연 영화 'Trainspotting'(트레인스포인팅)의 사운드트랙에 삽입된 뒤 싱글로 재발매되어 영국 싱글 차트에서 2위에 올랐다. 결국 이 싱글은 1990년대 최고의 트랙 중 하나로 선정되었다.

하이드는 런던 소호에서 밤에 술을 마신 후 'Born Slippy .NUXX'의 가사를 썼다. 그는 술에 취한 사람이 세상을 파편으로 보는 방식을 포착하기를 바랐다. 보컬은 원 테이크로 녹음되었다. 가사 중 '라거, 라거, 라거, 라거' 부분은 하이드의 실수로 탄생한 것이었다. 보컬이 들어갈 타이밍을 놓친 하이드는 '라거, 라거, 라거, 라거' 하고 같은 구절을 반복할 수밖에 없았다. 이런 실수로 인해 언더월드가 라이브로 'Born Slippy .NUXX'를 공연할 때 관객들이 라거 맥주 캔을 번쩍 치켜드는 진풍경이 연출되기도 했다. 이 노래는 알콜 찬가 같기도 하다. 하지만 하이드는 그 정반대란다.
