'Champagne Supernova'(섐페인 수퍼노버)는 영국의 싱어송라이터 노엘 갤러거(Noel Gallagher)가 작곡했으며, 영국 락 밴드 오에이시스(Oasis)가 취입한 노래다. 이 노래는 1995년에 발매된 밴드의 두 번째 앨범 '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?'(모닝 글로리)의 마지막 트랙 수록곡이다. 러닝 타임이 7분 31초에 달하는 장대한 길이의 곡이다. 곡 제목인 'Champagne Supernova'는 1980~`990년대에 유행하던 마티니 칵테일의 한 종류이며, 잔 주변에 코카인을 바른 것이 특징이다.
'Champagne Supernova' 트랙에서 영국 모드 리바이벌/펑크 락(mod revival/punk rock) 밴드 잼(The Jam)의 프론트맨인 폴 웰러(Paul Weller)는 게스트 기타리스트와 백 보컬리스트로 출연한다. 오에이시스의 리드 기타리스트 노엘 갤러거와 폴 웰러의 웅장한 기타 솔로는 이 곡의 피날레를 장식한다.
모드(Mod)는 1950년대 말부터 1960년대 중반까지 중흥했다. 모드 신은 암페타민 각성제에 취해 밤새도록 노래하고 춤추는 문화와 깊은 관계가 있다. 암페타민은 1964년까지 영국에서 합법적이었다. 1960년대 중반에 이르러 패셔너블한 음악은 모두 모드라고 불렸다. 노엘 갤러거는 1995년 NME에 'Champagne Supernova'의 가사 중 일부가 마약에 취한 채 만들어진 것이라고 인정했다.
'Champagne Supernova'는 1996년 5월 호주, 프랑스, 뉴질랜드에서 싱글로 발매되었다. 하지만 영국에서 이 노래는 싱글로 발매되지 않았다. 미국에서 발매된 싱글은 밴드의 두 번째 모던 락 트랙스(Modern Rock Tracks) 차트 1위 곡이 되었다. 또한 이 곡은 빌보드 핫 100 에어플레이(Billboard Hot 100 Airplay) 차트에서 최고 20위를 기록했다. 1996년에는 나이절 딕(Nigel Dick)이 감독 한 이 노래의 뮤직 비디오가 공개되었다.
