'At the Hop'(앳 더 합)은 1957년 미국의 두웝(doo-wop) & 로큰롤(rock'n'roll) 보컬 그룹 Danny & the Juniors(대니 & 더 주니어스)가 발표한 고등학생 댄스곡이다. 두웝은 흑인 음악 리듬 앤드 블루스(rhythm and blues)의 코러스 중 한 가지다. 적은 그룹이 화음으로 노래하며 종종 악기를 사용하지 않는 로큰롤의 한 형태인데, 특히 1950년 대 미국에서 유행했다.

'Hop'(합)은 미국 댄스 플로어에서 사용되던 은어다. '흔들다, 깡총깡총 뛰다'라는 뜻이다. 힙합(Hip-Hop)은 ‘Hip'(엉덩이)과 'Hop'(흔들다)의 합성어이다. 린디 합 또는 린디(Lindy Hop)는 1930년대 미국의 할렘(Harlem)에서 시작된 거칠게 추던 지터벅(jitterbug) 댄스이다. 흔히 지루박이라고 하는 댄스 말이다.

'At the Hop'은 Artie Singer(아티 싱거)와 John Medora(존 메도라), David White(데이빗 화이트)가 공동으로 작곡했다. 1957년 가을에 발표되어 1958년 1월 6일 미국 차트 1위에 올랐으며, 1958년 가장 많이 팔린 싱글 중 하나가 되었다. 이 노래는 R & B 베스트셀러 목록에도 1위에 올라 있다. 뿐만 아니라 놀랍게도 Music Vendor(뮤직 벤더) 국가 차트에서 3위를 차지했다. 영국 차트에서는 3위를 차지했으며, 다른 나라에서도 큰 히트를 쳤다.

'At the Hop'은 1969년 우드스탁(Woodstock) 페스티벌 로큰롤 리바이벌 공연에서 미국의 두웝 & 로큰롤 보컬 그룹 샤 나 나(Sha Na Na)가 부르고, 1973년 성인 코미디 아메리칸 그래피티에 출연한 후 다시 유명해졌다. 오늘날 대부분의 사람들은 '우드스탁' 다큐 영상에서 샤 나 나가 보여준 광란의 무대 공연을 통해 'At the Hop'을 기억한다. 음악적으로 이 노래는 1950년대 로큰롤, 12 바 블루스(twelve-bar blues), 부기 우기(boogie-woogie) 피아노, 50년대 프로그레션(50s progression)에서 가장 인기있는 몇 가지 공식을 결합한 것으로 유명하다.
