'Awaiting on You All'(어웨이팅 온 유 올)은 1970년에 발매된 영국 뮤지션 조지 해리슨(George Harrison)의 트리플 앨범 'All Things Must Pass'(올 씽즈 머스트 패스)에 수록된 곡이다. 제목 'Awaiting on You All'은 '모두를 기다리며' 정도의 뜻이 되겠다.
'Awaiting on You All'은 앨범 수록곡 'My Sweet Lord'(마이 스윗 로드)와 함께 종교적인 색채가 강하게 드러나 있다. 음악적으로 가스펠 음악 장르에서 영감을 받아 'Awaiting on You All'를 작곡했기 때문이다. 아직 공식적으로는 비틀즈(Beatles) 멤버였던 해리슨은 1969년 12월 'Delaney & Bonnie and Friends'(딜레이니 & 보니 앤드 프렌즈) 투어를 함께 했던 에릭 클랩튼(Eric Clapton)과 바비 휘틀록(Bobby Whitlock), 클라우스 부어만(Klaus Voormann), 짐 고든(Jim Gordon), 짐 프러이스(Jim Price)의 지원을 받아 이 트랙을 녹음했다.
'Awaiting on You All'의 가사에서 해리슨은 조직화된 종교의 교리를 고수하는 것에 반대하고 신과의 직접적인 소통을 지지한다. 런던에 본부를 둔 하레 크리슈나(Hare Krishna), 일명 라다 크리슈나 사원(Radha Krishna Temple)의 열성 신도들과 스와미 비베카난다(Swami Vivekananda)의 베단타(Vedanta) 휴머니즘의 영향을 받은 해리슨은 부정한 물질 세계로부터 자신을 정화하고 해방시키기 위한 수단으로 신의 이름을 외치는 노래를 부른다. 'chanting the names of the Lord(신의 이름을 거듭 외치면)' 같은 가사는 하레 크리슈나 철학을 지지하는 것이다.

가사는 모든 신앙의 타당성을 인정하면서도 본질적으로 교황과 로마 가톨릭 교회의 물질주의를 명시적으로 비판한다. 가사에는 교황이 '제너럴 모터스사의 주식 51%를 소유하고 있다'는 냉소적 암시가 들어있다. 하지만 EMI와 캐피틀 레코드(Capitol Records)는 앨범의 가사에서 이 내용을 계속 생략하고 있다. 로마 가톨릭과의 마찰을 원치 않았기 때문이다. 해리슨은 또 1967~1968년 힌두 영성에 관심을 가지면서 그의 전 밴드 동료 존 레논(John Lennon)과 오노 요코(Yoko Ono)의 1969년 세계평화운동의 타당성에도 의문을 제기한다.
에릭 클랩튼과 링고 스타(Ringo Starr), 프레스턴(Preston), 짐 켈트너(Jim Keltner)를 포함한 대규모 밴드의 지원을 받은 유명한 'Awaiting on You All'의 라이브 버전이 1971년 앨범 'The Concert for Bangladesh'(더 콘서트 포어 방글라데시)에 수록되어 발매되었다. 그리고 해리슨은 같은 제목의 1972년 영화에 출연했다. 해리슨 사후에 나온 편집 앨범 'Early Takes : Volume 1'(2012)에는 1970년 초반 'All Things Must Pass'를 위해 녹음된 데모 버전이 수록되어 있다.
'Awaiting on You All'은 비틀즈 음악 혐오자들조차도 한번 들어볼 만한 가치가 있는 노래라고 할 수 있다. 각자의 선택은 자유다.
