'Let Down(렛 다운)'은 영국의 록 밴드 라디오헤드(Radiohead)가 1997년에 발매한 세 번째 스튜디오 앨범 'OK Computer(오케이 컴퓨터)' 5번째 트랙 수록곡이다. '오케이 컴퓨터' 앨범은 현대인들에게 만연한 소비주의와 사회적 소외, 정서적 고립, 정치적 문제점들로 가득한 세계를 묘사하고 있다.

'이토록 사소한 멜랑꼴리'의 작가 김도언은 '렛 다운'의 분위기가 바로 '내 소설의 이미지'라고 말한다. 작가가 말한 것처럼 '렛 다운'의 가사 후렴구는 'Let down and hanging around. Crushed like a bug in the ground(절망한 채 목적 없이 흘러가고, 바닥의 벌레처럼 온몸이 바스러져서)'로 되어 있다. 세계일보 심재천 기자는 '렛 다운'에 대해 '쓸쓸한 전자기타 연주에 실린 카프카적 노랫말은 선재와 뭇 인간의 절망을 애도한다.'고 말한다.
