'Deep Cover'(딥 커버)는 1992년에 발매한 미국 래퍼 닥터 드레(Dr. Dre)의 데뷔 솔로 싱글이다. 또한, 1991년 힙합 그룹 NWA 해체 후 닥터 드레가 발표한 첫 갱스터 랩(Gangsta rap) & 하드코어 힙합(hardcore hip hop) & 지-펑크(G-Funk)이다. 곡목은 '187'로도 알려져 있다. 'Deep Cover'는 '은폐, 은닉'의 뜻이다. 뮤직 비디오는 동료 래퍼 스눕 독(Snoop Doggy Dogg)이 등장하면서 시작된다. 이 트랙은 1996년 니콜라스 셀로지(Nicholas Celozzi) 감독의 영화 '체크메이트(Deep Cover)'의 사운드트랙에 삽입되었다.
'Deep Cover'는 1992년 7월 25일 빌보드 200 앨범 차트에서 166위를 차지했다. 이 노래는 사운드트랙으로 편집되는 한편 닥터 드레의 편집 앨범 'First Round Knock Out'(퍼스트 라운드 넉 아웃)에도 수록되었다. 앨범 'First Round Knock Out'은 빌보드 200 앨범 차트에서 52위로 진입하여 2주 동안 머물렀다. 'Deep Cover'는 'Doggy Stuff and Doggy Style Hits'(도기 스터프 앤 도기 스타일 히츠) 등 여러 위대한 앨범에도 수록되었다.
원래 12"판에 '닥터 드레가 스눕 독을 소개함'으로 표시된 크레딧처럼 스눕 독이 피처링한 것은 이번이 처음이었다. 싱글 판매에 큰 돌파구는 되지 못했지만 스눕 독의 경력이 시작되는 계기가 되었다. 'Deep Cover'는 슬라이 앤 더 패밀리 스톤(Sly & the Family Stone)의 단골 샘플링 트랙 'Sing a Simple Song'(싱 어 심플 송)에서 가져온 드럼 비트와 언디스퓨티드 트루스(Undisputed Truth)의 '(I Know)I’m Losing You'(아임 루싱 유) 중 되풀이되는 'I can feel it'(아이 캔 필 잇)을 샘플링했다.
싱글 'Deep Cover'는 닥터 드레의 데뷔 스튜디오 앨범 'The Chronic'(더 크로닉)에 수록되어 발표될 예정이었다. 하지만 가사가 경찰을 죽이는 내용이었기 때문에 헤비 메탈 밴드 보디 카운트(Body Count)의 'Cop Killer'(캅 킬러)가 금지곡이 되면서 'The Chronic' 발매도 그 영향을 받았다. 평단의 호평에도 불구하고 'Deep Cover'는 상업적인 성공은 크게 거두지 못했다.
