관광객에 목 마른 이집트 정부가 벤트 피라미드를 관광객들에게 개방했다고. 굽은 피라미드는 카이로에서 가까운 다슈르에 있다. 지금으로부터 4600년 전인 서기 전 2600년 무렵 지어진 스네푸르 파라오의 무덤이다. 54도 각도로 가파르게 설계된 피라미드를 실트(silt) 질의 찰흙으로 짓다 보니 안정성과 지탱하는 힘에 문제가 생겼다. 결국 이 피라미드는 조금 더 편평하게 43도 각도, 높이 45m로 더 낮게 지어져 구부러지게 됐다.
